Close a Running App

You dont need to close a running app but in case you need to

Here are the steps to follow:
Click on your iPad’s Home button to minimize the app if it’s running.
Double click the Home button and you will see a row of running apps at the bottom of the screen.
Touch and hold any icon until the icons start wiggling, then tap the minus sign on the icon of the running app to close it.
Double click the Home button again to hide the row.

And thats it, easy

How to Switch between Open Apps

When you are running an app, you can minimize it by simply clicking the Home button.

There are 2 methods of switching between open apps depending on the version of iOS you are running

On the iOS 4, 5 & 6

Double-click your iPad’s Home button to reveal the open apps on the multitasking bar at the bottom of the screen.
Flick left to see more running apps.
Tap an icon to instantly switch to that open app.

On the iOS 5 & 6 only

Also in iOS 5 or 6 you can use four or five fingers to swipe left or right to switch between open apps, or swipe up to reveal the open apps on the multitasking bar.

Create a folder

If your like me and a keen app downloader, your screens can quickly become cluttered and messy. In this case you can create folders for your apps.

To create a folder all you need to do is tap and hold on an app until they all start to jiggle, then drag the app over another icon and release.

Your iPad will create a folder with both the apps in. The folder will be named according to the category of the apps it contains, but you can rename it if the name is not to your taste.
